Source Naturals Essential Enzymes helps the body to obtain the maximum nutritional value from ingested foods. Ideal for those with food intolerances and digestive insufficiency related to age. Efficient fat digestion is needed for absorption of the fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, which are very critical for overall health. This digestive enzymes supplement is designed to reduce digestive problems like constipation, bloating, diarrhea, and flatulence. It also prevents larger food molecules from reaching the intestines and being absorbed into the bloodstream, a major cause of food allergies.
Digestive enzymes are proteins produced by the body needed to digest the foods and absorb useful nutrients from it. The body can only benefit from all the vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients from food if you have sufficient supply of all these important enzymes. More often, the body needs digestive enzyme replenishment as their production decrease by age. Poor eating habits, alcohol abuse, inadequate chewing, and eating on the run also reduces digestive enzyme levels in the gastrointestinal tract. Natural digestive enzyme sources are mostly raw foods, which are not eaten much unless when cooked. However, cooked foods have much lower digestive enzyme concentration. Low levels of digestive enzymes lead to indigestion and malabsorption. Both malabsorption and indigestion may lead to more serious health problems like heartburn, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, and even diabetes.
